The first of four church concerts in Heiligenblut am Großglockner was already a great highlight.
The first of four church concerts that will take place in Heiligenblut this summer has not only aroused my enthusiasm. Attendance at the first cultural highlight was even somewhat subdued. It seems that art and culture fans still have to get used to the concerts taking place again.
The cloth of encounters - an interesting metaphor by artist Lisa Huber - was still on display in the pilgrimage church in Heiligenblut at the time of the concert and it literally stood for personal encounters and openings that have not only helped our society, but above all the art and culture scene, to new life. A great star under which our first concert was held.
Vive la France - that was the name of the concert program of the Collegio per Sonare ensemble, which you could enjoy at the first concert. It consisted mainly of works by French composers of the Romantic period, a highlight was certainly the performance of the 17-year-old horn soloist Helena Pirka. This was the second time that the Collegio per Sonare ensemble has performed in Heiligenblut and if you missed the concert, a performance next year is already being planned!
The top-class line-up continues this summer. An urgent recommendation from me is the concert with Musica Pongowe on August 4, 2021 in our pilgrimage church. The Musica Pongowe ensemble is nothing new for us in Heiligenblut, but this time we are presenting a special guest, Katharina Trojer from Heiligenblut, who will enchant the local audience against the magnificent backdrop of the highest mountains. (The ensemble is already busy rehearsing)
The summer is still long and the nature around Heiligenblut presents itself from its most beautiful side. In addition to top-class art and culture, there are still plenty of great experiences to look forward to in our breathtaking natural surroundings.
